A few days ago we reported that Guy Laliberté was one of the six finalists in the World Poker Tour Championships sitting as the #3 chip holder, unfortunately we must announce that he did not win.
Second place rival Carlos “The Matador” Mortensen won the $3.97 million pot and has become the first player to win both the WSOP Main Event and the WPT World Champtionship.
But Mr. Laliberté didn’t do that badly: he came in fourth place for a $696,220 payout.
