A Cirque du Soleil… Car?

Now here’s something interesting…

The bidder is anonymous, but here’s betting you’ll be able to identify him or her behind the wheel of this theatrical-looking drive.

The Infiniti G37 Art Car, created to commemorate both the car company’s 20th anniversary and Cirque du Soleil’s 25th, drew a winning bid of $55,000 at a private auction for the charity One Drop during the recent Masquerave event in Whistler.

The bidder was among the 1,200 people attendees at Masquerave, where the car was “revealed” with a performance by Cirque du Soleil.

One Drop is a charity to set up fresh-water projects in the developing world established by Cirque founder Guy Laliberté.

Montreal artist Heidi Taillefer reportedly spent more than 300 hours over one month hand-painting the exterior of the vehicle. The driver will need silver tights, glitter makeup, and a feather mask to complete the look. And he or she should have absolutely no problem finding this baby in the mall parking lot.
