Varekai recently had its own “life on tour” photographic retrospective that was on display at North Park Mall in Dallas (Dillard’s Fountain Court). It included a selection of VAREKAI costumes that could be examined up close. The retrospective was part of the celebrations for the 1000th performance of Varekai, which took place on December 4 in Dallas.
All the photographs were taken by Paul Bannerman, a drummer, and Lorant Voros, a rigging technician, who have been on the road with VAREKAI for more than two years. Paul, originally from Canada, has taken over 27,000 pictures including 7,000 backstage, and Lorant, from Hungary, has managed to take some unique pictures from high up on the catwalk.
That sounds like a neat idea! We hope they continue that exhibition in other cities.
